Giraffes In Love

Under a romantic Serengeti sunset, two giraffes stare at each other lovingly. Kuala Lumpur city is like a safari, if you open your eyes.

Yesterday, I saw two lovey-dovey construction cranes but they were like 5 kilometers from where I stood. Quickly mounted the 75-300mm (150 to 600mm) zoom lens. Turned on the 2x extender and it became a 1200mm lens effectively.

At that extreme focal length, it was almost impossible to hold steady, let alone frame accurately. With the sun setting fast, setting up a tripod may mean losing the shot. The only option was to set the camera to a fast shutter speed and fire a burst. Love is fickle.

Olympus OM-D, ISO 200, f9, 1/640 sec.
