It’s Fun To Eat Near The Y-M-C-A

Young man, there’s a place you can go. I said, young man, when you’re short on your dough. Behind the Y-M-C-A is A-B-C.

This Brickfields hawker sells an awesome ice dessert known locally as A.B.C. It is a bowl of fresh coconut slices, sweet corn, jellies and red beans buried in ice shaving dripping with syrup and evaporated milk.

The plastic table there had a surface so scratchy you get a grunge filter effect for free. By the way, across the street is another hawker that sells the best goreng pisang (banana fritters) in town.

Captions and title inspired by lyrics from the song Y.M.C.A performed by Village People,  written by Henri Belolo, Jacques Morali and Victor Willis. The stall is located in front of the corner 7-Eleven, just behind the Y.M.C.A. Kuala Lumpur in Brickfields. Daily from 10 am to 6pm.
