A lone Chinese temple in the middle of the green acres, presented me with an unusual visual frame to juxtapose the vastness beyond.

This farmer said it was perfect timing (for me) as the crop would have been harvested within a week. Land will be scorched and barren, ready for replanting. The Panasonic 7-14 mm ultrawide angle lens was deployed for this shot.

Sekinchan, the “rice bowl” of Selangor, is a picturesque place with friendly folks. The farmers were harvesting when I arrived at the padi fields, after photographing the Transit of Venus from nearby. With many seafood restaurants dotting the coast, starting from Kuala Selangor, Sekinchan is a great place for a day trip for residents of Klang Valley.
