The Petronas Twin Towers glisten in the sunset just now. I changed the camera’s white balance to the tungsten preset for a cool, bluish moonlight hue. To better expose the pearl-like highlights, I used spot-metering on the shiny parts.

Chow Kit Market springs back to life this morning (Sunday, 26th August 2012) after a week of inactivity. I like this market for its ‘multi-racialness’. There are also Indonesians, Bangladeshis, Cambodians and Nepalese. Is like a Little Asia. The area may be teeming with drug addicts, hobos, street urchins and parking touts but somehow I feel safer here than inside a mall’s car park.
That’s what my friends Sherman and Radha shout every Merdeka 🙂 This shot combined a handheld slow exposure to streak the background with a manual burst of flash held with other hand to light/freeze the foreground.
