Viva Circus is presenting an arts festival with workshops and shows this December. It is part of their outreach program to provide funding support for selected NGOs. The shows will involve mixed disciplines of acrobatics, circus, dance, music and multimedia. Highlight of the festival will be a theatre show titled ‘Neverland’ to be staged at Theatre PJ Live Arts @ Jaya One on December 15, 2012.

I photographed principal cast member Nicholas Lim rehearsing on the aerial hoop at Viva Vertical Stage in Kuala Lumpur earlier today. The so-called ‘movement studio’ offers classes in Pole Dance, Tease Dance (Burlesque), FLY Yoga and Aerial Arts with hoop, rope, fabric &  trapeze.

Farewell To An Old Friend

Did the phone swallow his coin or did his girlfriend hang up on him? This has got to be the worst case of phone rage ever. Saw this in a small town and I really don’t know what happened. A big puddle of water on the ground gives clue that the fire brigade was summoned. This picture was taken sometime ago. With the proliferation of mobile phones, the pay phone is now almost extinct in Malaysia.

What a send off. Farewell to an old friend.
