Today is also an auspicious date for Chinese weddings, apparently. There were hundreds of couples at the Thean Hou Temple going through a conveyor-belt marriage registration process. This random couple and their friends were waiting for the photographer’s signal to jump in unison. Makes a nice candid moment near 12:12 pm. Happy 12-12-12 !

Look at those two-legged silverfishes gnawing on the books. The world’s biggest book sale required an ultra-wide lens to take in the phenomenal view.
Currently running at the Mines Convention Centre, Big Bad Wolf 2012 Book Sale is chewing up another world record. There are 3 million books on sale.
All these is quite surprising and ironic. We were told repeatedly that the average Malaysian reads less than 2 books a year. No one in the hall is complaining though. New books are going for 75% to 95% below regular prices.
The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale 2012 is from 7th to 23rd December 2012.

Exactly a year ago, Malaysia’s very own aerobatics team Krisakti made its debut. A joint-venture between Aerotree, the Defence Ministry and RMAF, the team flew the Extra EA-300 series turboprop planes. Training was conducted earlier in the United Kingdom by The Blades Aerobatic Display Team. Some of the British trainers are former pilots of the famous Red Arrows.
For next year, the biennial Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (LIMA) Exhibition will be staged in March instead of December.
