121212

Today is also an auspicious date for Chinese weddings, apparently. There were hundreds of couples at the Thean Hou Temple going through a conveyor-belt marriage registration process. This random couple and their friends were waiting for the photographer’s signal to jump in unison. Makes a nice candid moment near 12:12 pm. Happy 12-12-12 !

Quickie With A Bride

I was caught in a small jam along the Putrajaya Bridge. A bride was having her pics taken. I rolled down the opposite window and shot this with barely 3 or 4 seconds available as traffic started moving again. The soft filter was added later in Snapseed. If you travel with a camera, always have it nearby and ready to shoot.

A Perfect Ten

What do Malaysians do when the calendar hit a perfect ten? They get married lah. The popular places to get hitched were inundated with couples. Neither the conveyor belt-style marriage registration or the sweaty walk up the hill deterred them from Thean Hou Temple. Chaotic parking on the slope brought traffic to a standstill on 10am, 10/10/10.

Budget Broadcast

This couple had to hold the microphone and interview themselves. RTM is operating on a budget 🙂

Tenuptials Crowd

Tenuptials: Finding an uncluttered background was impossible but then it suits the mass wedding theme
