There is a new function known as the Colour Creator. This feature allows in-camera adjustment of hue and colour saturation. You can also adjust the tonal curves similarly.

OM-D's Colour Creator Function

Need some moonlight seeping into your bedroom? No problem. Press a button and adjust the hue to suit. Olympus OM-D EM-1, ISO 640, f4.5, 1/50 sec with the Zuiko 12-60 mm lens.

Like you, my first reaction was why would I want to mess with colour adjustments in-camera, when I can do it later with Photoshop or other software on my PC? Still, I wouldn’t knock the feature just yet. I hated those Art Filters at first, but it kind of grows on you.

  1. “Pro lens should come with a hood” – LOL – my E-510, E-620 two kit lenses had free hoods, the 25mm DSLR lens did not have a hood because it is a pancake, the 75mm mft lens is expensive but has no free hood. Olympus stopped giving free hoods easily when they went MFT
