Supertree Grove

As I predicted, the perfect blue sky today ended with a magical sunset. I headed to Supertree Grove to catch the beautiful afterglow of dusk. Not Marina Bay Singapore but Dong Zen in Jenjarom. The Buddhist landmark is once again transformed into an illuminated garden for the Lunar New Year, attracting thousands of visitors.

This little stranger was jumping in front of the camera with her Minion balloon. Since I was working with a slow shutter speed, I asked if she could slow down a bit for the camera. She graciously agreed and stood totally still instead, striking her little tourist pose.

Thinking Out Of The Lantern

At the Dong Zen’s Lantern Festival, I set the camera to a slow shutter speed. I then zoom and rotate after clicking the shutter. All done handheld, for this random, abstract effect. Think out of the lantern.

The Magic Hour

In cinematography, the ‘Magic Hour’ refers to the time when the the sky is glowing luminously just after sunset. It is less than 30 minutes, usually. The Dong Zen Temple in Jenjarom  is decked up with lanterns and glittering lights for its annual Lanterns & Floral Fest. The landmark is transformed into a magical wonderland for the Lunar New Year.
