By steering your camera’s white balance carefully, you can enhance the moody lighting of a temple. Smoke, fire, silhouttes and a cool bluish tint are the ingredients. Photographed at a temple in KL Chinatown with the Olympus E-PL2.
The lunar eclipse last night began at around 7:30 pm and ended at about 1:30 am this morning. The dark clouds hovering over Kuala Lumpur soon gave way to the majestic alignment of sun, moon and earth.
It was an awesome sight to behold when the earth’s shadow concealed the moon completely. The moon turned reddish during the umbral phase when it was lit only by indirect sunlight. Unlike the eclipse of June 2011, this was a rare total eclipse!
Moonlight Shadow

Orange-Red Moon
At 10:35pm, it was total eclipse but you can still see a faint red disc in the sky. Indirect sunlight bouncing in space gives it the copper glow. Olympus E-PL2, ISO 200, f5, 1.6 sec

The popular fable about Aladdin is retold as a captivating (and humorous) musical at the Amphitheatre @ Sunway Lagoon from 25th November 2011 till 2nd January, 2012. Starring six principal cast members from London’s famous West End and supported by an ensemble of more than 30 international dancers, Aladdin The Musical is set to mesmerize audiences young and old.
Aladdin The Musical is performed on a moving set with 3D laser effects amidst flying carpets and pyrotechnics. This dazzling show is again helmed by director Chris Colby and choreographer David Kort. Here are some pictures I photographed during the Gala Premiere…
