Yawn

For a guy, what can be more boring than accompanying a woman to shopping? Waiting for her to check all the pics in her camera. LOL! A photographic moment can be both emphatic and empathetic. Street candids of random strangers with the Body Cap Lens.

A Pavilion Christmas

Pavilion KL Shopping Mall always have the best festive décor in town. Their Christmas decorations are not only elaborate but very classy. Sweeping mistletoe curtain, giant chandelier, lighted stagecoach and a train moving around Christmas trees with carollers taking center stage. Simply magical.

It is also a good place to test the Body Cap Lens indoors. Now; some of you may think that the modest lens is inadequate in low light, what with its f8 fixed aperture. Combine the OM-D’s good high ISO rendition with its 5-axis image stabilization and I was able to get good handheld shots. More to come.

Things To Do In Langkawi

What I do in Langkawi Island every time I am there. Have dinner at Rootian Restaurant in the middle of Kuah town. It is your typical five-foot way Chinese / Thai seafood restaurant. Food is excellent as always but no desserts or fruits available or served there after dinner. No problem. Just walk across the street to this one-stop supermarket. Buy duty-free Belgian Sea Shells Chocolates at RM 3.90 (about RM 14 in KL) 🙂
