Awakening

A statue of Buddha photographed at the Thai Chetawan Temple. This PJ landmark was officially opened by His Majesty King Bhumiphol and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand in 1962. The shimmering background is actually out-of-focus shiny roof tiles.

Buddha means The Awakened One or The Enlightened One.

Frame In Frame

Frame In Frame. At the Thai Buddhist Chetawan Temple in Petaling Jaya, a giant crane formed a frame. So I framed the landmark within a frame. Are you one of those who always wonder when to use the ‘Plastic Wrap Filter’ in Photoshop? Well. Here it is in action. It creates a 3D embossed surface that is shrink-wrapped. Like one one of those paintings you see at a tourist souvenir shop.

Opened officially by His Majesty King Bhumiphol of Thailand, the Thai Buddhist Chetawan Temple in PJ is not only a popular destination for Buddhists but also for tourists. I stumbled upon this renovation two days ago. The sky was a rare brilliant blue.
