The annual Rainforest Challenge is here again! Held this time in Melaka, the 4×4 event will run for 10 days in the jungles of the historic state. The convoy of 4wd vehicles headed out to the foothills of Gunung Ledang (Mount Ophir) on the Malacca side today. Will bring you more pictures of RFC 2012 as I travel with the expedition into the wilderness (subject to availability of 3G signals).

The international off-road competition kicked off with a Prologue Special Session in Klebang Beach yesterday. This woman co-pilot of a team from Poland emerges from their Land Rover after it overturned in a steep slope climb.

The first thing you see on sale at MAHA International 2012 is not fruits nor vegetables. It is umbrellas. Even with the incessant rain, the biennial Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agro-Tourism Expo is attracting thousands of visitors daily. The show is at the massive 386-acre MAEPS (Malaysia Agro Exhibition Park Serdang). Catch it before it ends on 2nd December.

Sunshine On My Breakfast

Sunshine on my breakfast makes me happy. But there was little sun this morning. More rain instead. Turns out to be a good time to try the new Manfrotto ML360H Hybrid LED light. To simulate early morning sun creeping in behind curtains, I placed a single unit on top of a jam jar on the dining table.

Skimming or scrapping light brings out the texture of food in general and is particularly effective for pastries. Delicious Aroma Nyonya Kueh from Jaya Grocer. Can you name the different types of kuih shown here?
