Here I am today, on the Rooftop Mixology Bar of G Tower, observing two lovely ladies taking the new Motorola Defy for a dip. Motorola Mobility has just launched the new Motorola DEFY, moments ago. DEFY is a slim, full-featured Android smartphone that is water, dust and scratch resistant. The large display is made of Gorilla Glass, well known for its resistance against impact and scratch damage. Hey, it’s Life Proof!

Maxis will also be offering the phone from RM999 with Maxis Value Plus plans and a data bundle. In Malaysia, Motorola DEFY is distributed by Brightstar Distribution Sdn Bhd.

Since it was a public holiday yesterday, half of Malaysia were at the KL International Motor Show or KLIMS’10. Never mind several big brands were glaringly missing from the show. Ali, Arul and Ah Chong would not have noticed or cared. All they wanted was to test a car horn and rock the gear shift. Or ask some really baffling questions. Like repeatedly asking the girls about the OTR price of concept cars and prototypes.

Some were seen shaking their heads in disbelief after finding out the Rolls-Royce Hantu is 6600 cc. Why? I asked them gently. Load tek mesti manyak mahal loh, they enlightened me. For crying out loud, do you think it matters to the guy paying RM 3 million for the car that the road tax is going to be RM 19,500 and the insurance RM 96,000 a year?
