Indian food for the 1st night of Chinese New Year :-). Many Chinese restaurants, except those at Jalan Alor, were closed. To their credit, Nagas in Brickfields didn’t raise prices unlike some other eating places.

At the Dong Zen’s Lantern Festival, I set the camera to a slow shutter speed. I then zoom and rotate after clicking the shutter. All done handheld, for this random, abstract effect. Think out of the lantern.

In cinematography, the ‘Magic Hour’ refers to the time when the the sky is glowing luminously just after sunset. It is less than 30 minutes, usually. The Dong Zen Temple in Jenjarom is decked up with lanterns and glittering lights for its annual Lanterns & Floral Fest. The landmark is transformed into a magical wonderland for the Lunar New Year.
