In the enchanted forest, I stumbled upon two Orang Asli kids and their puppy. The children are from the Temuan indigenous tribe. Photographed near the old Bentong road this morning.

The Temuan indigenous people from the Bukit Lanjan Orang Asli Reserve were relocated into modern bungalows as their jungle homes made way for development of Damansara Perdana. Consisting 147 bungalows, their little prime enclave of Desa Temuan is like a surreal world of its own. Originally kept as hunting dogs, some of their usually slim pets are now replaced by fatter, fluffier toy breeds.

After following me around suspiciously the whole afternoon, they finally accepted that I came in peace. They led me to a giant dog house. Scrap metal thieves have stolen every roller shutter door of the shops, warehouses and factories in Armada Putra. The dogs, I suspect, are abandoned strays turned feral.
