Saw this pair of newly-weds outside an Indian bridal shop in Bestari Jaya (formerly Batang Berjuntai). The mannequins reminded me of the movie Bride of Frankenstein, creepy yet captivating in its mystery. I applied Snapseed’s vintage filter to match the charming little town’s 1960s-ish atmosphere.

What do you do when you arrive at a half-deserted small town on a hazy afternoon? You look for compositional elements to liven up your picture.
The yellow box says “No Waiting” but as a photographer you can afford to wait a little. Do not point your camera immediately when you arrive at a location. Walk around and survey with your eyes, not your viewfinder. I saw the lines from across the street and imagined the final capture in my mind.
Charming Seremban town seems to be stuck in a time warp with little new development happening. Most of the action is now at the newer Seremban 2 and 3, I was told. Sepia toning and vignetting was added to enhance the old world charm.

Found this pic I took in 2003 with my first digital compact camera; the 3.3 Mega Pixels Canon G1. It was a shop in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur. The 30-minute photo finisher and Kodak. They are now both gone. The analog Photo Shop used to hand-colour black and white prints with brushes, swabs and the fingers. It was an art form.
