There is a place in PJ that gives popular Chinese ‘mamak’ Murni SS2 competition. It is an Indian ‘mamak’ with no roof; ironically named… eh… Bumbung (roof)!
Located in Paramount Garden, many of its multi-racial patrons refer to it as Nasi Lemak Maybank (the next door landmark). Its speciality is crispy fried chicken and, surprisingly, telur goreng (fried egg omelette). Unlike other ‘al fresco’ night-time mamak stalls, this one occupies a very dim and long backlane.
