Selasih

Holy Basil (Tulsi or Selasih) seeds in lemon rose syrup is a refreshing cold drink served at Nyonya Valley, Ukay Boulevard. I placed a LitePanels LP-Micro as a single light source under the glass. Since the light has variable output, I was able to trim until I got the right intensity for the chosen f3.7 – 1/80 sec manual setting.

Using the optional VF-2 viewfinder on the OM-D made angled viewing and adjustment from the dining table POV easier. Lens was the relatively huge but very sharp Four Third 12-60mm f2.8 Zuiko Digital via the MMF-3 adaptor. Quite a contraption for a dinner outing but a good drink deserves the best gear 🙂

Hash Sunday

Is Hash Sunday for me if I get up early enough 🙂

Some OM-D users discard or misplace the little clip-on flash that came with the camera. Never do that. Ironically, you will need it later when you expand your system with a bigger external flash unit.

To photograph this Hash Brown backlit, I hid a FL-36R flash unit behind. The flash was triggered remotely with the clip-on flash acting as a wireless commander.

The hash brown and scrambled eggs were part of a McDonald’s Big Breakfast meal.
