During the turn of the century, a new phenomenon started taking shape in Malaysia. Dot com companies began advertising on the back of taxis. It was a sure sign that the companies were gunning for an IPO. Eight years on, the Ah Longs displaced the dot coms as the big spender on boot media.

Today, I’m glad to see a new breed of ads appearing on the back of our cabs. With our National Bonking Policy (a.k.a.70-million Population Policy) falling behind, our dutiful citizens are bonking at an intensified pace. Spouses are bonking other people’s spouses.
