When Fireflies Sleep

You may have taken a river ride on Sungai Selangor to see the fireflies in action at night but have you seen the place in the morning? The jetty at Taman Kelip Kelip in Kampung Kuantan, Kuala Selangor was so serene and quiet that I felt like lying on a boat to drift away.

When there is sun, the Body Cap Lens shines. Think of it as a body cap with the added bonus of being a lens. Then, you won’t be disappointed and will learn to work around the so-called limitations. After all, the optional lens hood of the kit lens cost as much.

Cendol Drive-Thru

Move over, burger and coffee drive-through places! We now have a Cendol Drive-Thru complete with an attap-thatched roof. I like it that there is no intercom nor a 3-stop order process.  Just drive up to the makcik, place your order and pay when the sweet, icy dessert is handed over (see inset).

Thinking Of The Past, Looking To The Future

I was up at the lighthouse on Malawati Hill in Kuala Selangor. It was near Merdeka and a colony of resident Silvered Leaf Monkeys were playing with the many flags there. I waited patiently and this guy came along and struck a poignant pose. There were insane calls then to cull the monkeys as they were intruding into our habitat. Actually, it is their habitat all along. Humans are the intruders. This was to become my favourite Merdeka picture, out of the thousands I have photographed. Happy Merdeka!
