Hello There!

I am now the owner of a Hello Kitty handbag. Do you think I can also use it as an innocent-looking camera bag? Mooncake packaging keeps getting fancier each year. As a gift, the mooncakes from Good Chen are quite unique as they come in/with a cute handbag. The cakes are also embossed with the cartoon character, including those of Spongebob and Doraemon.

I bought two flavours from their Hello Kitty range to try. As photographed here; the Ultimate Brown Mix which is Hazelnut Coffee. At right, the Coco Diva is lotus paste with macadamia nuts and choc-oreo biscuits coated together with Belgian dark chocolates. Yumz!

The annual Mooncake Festival is also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival or Lantern Festival in Malaysia and Singapore. It falls on September 19th this year.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival or Zhongqiujie or as we say in Malaysia; Mooncake Festival or Lantern Festival or Pesta Tanglung…

MCA celebrated the festival tonight with yet another 1Malaysia theme.  I was at another  1Malaysia Lantern Festval last week. After a not-so-glamorous appearance at last month’s Hungry Ghost Festival, the 1Malaysia enblem is back at a more auspicious occasion this time. 🙂

Update 1: It is almost 9:00 pm now but still no lantern action except boring speeches and the same multi-cultural dances over and over again. Can’t they be more creative for once? To make matters worse, some idiot is shouting “1Malaysia Boleh” on stage now. Lol

Update 2: 9:30pm. A crow on the tree above me just poo poo. Missed my phone by a few inches. Wait… Got fireworks all of a sudden…

Update 3: Almost 10:00 pm and the lantern parade to Petaling Street begins. Very few lantern bearers. I think many kids fell asleep waiting. I’m out of here. That was me reporting from Central Market 🙂
